The inspiration for the Auroral lights came when lead designer Angus Hutcheson noticed the beauty of the form inside the ANGO silk cocoon lights – the hand soldered wire matrix which makes up their structure. In Auroral lights, this metal filigree takes center stage. Nodes of refracted light are apparently suspended in space.Each piece is formed totally free style by hand in welded filigree work that is nickel or copper plated and then lacquered (silver and copper) or electroplated in 18 karat gold (gold). ANGO calls them “light jewelry.”
